Cookies and account privacy

Essential session cookies
Signed HttpOnly cookies keep you signed in, with Secure and SameSite protections in production. Personal tutoring uses its own cookie and session, separate from school and family sign-in, lasting up to eight hours. Clearing a cookie ends that browser’s local session; it does not delete server records or necessarily sign out other devices. Use the appropriate account’s sign-out control on shared devices.
Device preferences
Motion, sound, and guide preferences may be stored in this browser’s local storage. The optional off-screen activity guide keeps only an anonymous 15-minute reminder deadline in this tab’s session storage, not answers, parent notes, or account identifiers. It does not upload that deadline or control device-wide screen time; browser session restore may retain it. These are separate from saved learning records. Clearing browser storage can reset preferences but does not delete your account or work in the database. Public independent tutoring practice answers remain in the open page rather than becoming a saved account record.
Personal tutoring credentials and controls
Ages 13+ can choose a username, password, and recovery PIN. Password and PIN verifiers are hashed, and account actions are rate-limited. No email address is collected by personal tutoring signup, and there is no email recovery for this account. Recovery requires the username and PIN, then replaces the password and PIN. My tutoring account provides optional profile changes, export, and deletion. A current verified sign-out or password reset invalidates that account’s existing personal tutoring sessions; clearing an expired session signs out only that browser.
School and family accounts
School and family accounts have separate permissions and recovery controls. Use their account settings and Student records and requests for records access, correction, or deletion review. School preservation requirements and guardian verification remain in place; a personal tutoring session cannot unlock those records.
Advertising and provider logs
No advertising network or commercial advertising-profile feature is configured in the reviewed application source. Hosting services may maintain operational logs, and external sources can receive ordinary connection metadata. Exact provider retention and processing terms require confirmation; this page does not promise that providers keep no logs.
