Who this account is for

Independent signup is for ages 13 and older. Choose an age group before entering account details; no birth date is collected. Users under 13 continue through the existing parent-managed family path. Your acknowledgment of this notice is not school or parental authorization.

What is saved, and why

We store your chosen username, password and recovery PIN verifiers, age group, notice version and acknowledgment time, account/session version, creation and update times, optional nickname, and selected character ID. Password and PIN verifiers use the application’s salted password hashing; plaintext passwords and PINs are not saved in the account table. The optional nickname is not a login identifier. Characters are provided choices, not uploaded photos.

Saved tutoring records contain your own answers, progress, revision information, and the learning content snapshot needed to interpret that work. This account does not adopt or provide access to school, teacher, parent, or existing student records. Account customization is private to your account; it creates no public profile or social feature.

Choose a username and nickname that do not identify you, and avoid putting private information in answers. Authentication uses an essential signed, HTTP-only personal tutoring cookie lasting up to eight hours. It is separate from school and family session cookies. Rate-limit counters use keyed digests of account/network identifiers. The account flow does not send recovery email or call an AI service.

Your controls

From your account page, you can download your account profile and saved tutoring records or permanently delete this personal tutoring account and its progress after entering your current password. Export excludes password/PIN verifiers and session tokens. Deletion is a single guarded database transaction and does not affect any school or family account. Signing out with a current verified tutoring session, or resetting your password, invalidates this account’s existing tutoring sessions. Clearing an already expired session signs out only this browser.

Keep your username and recovery PIN private. Recovery uses those two details, then replaces the password and PIN. No email address is required or collected by this signup. The recovery form cannot restore access if you have lost the required details.

Retention and limits of deletion

The implemented application retains this account and its tutoring progress until you delete them. There is currently no automatic inactivity-deletion schedule. Authentication rate-limit counters expire and are cleaned up by later authentication requests after their expiry plus one day; this is not a timed cleanup job.

Account deletion removes this account and its linked progress from the active application database. It does not erase earlier downloads, provider backups, or service logs. A provider backup or service-log deletion deadline has not been verified. Operational retention decisions and provider terms need separate review; this notice does not invent a deadline or a provider promise.
